Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer experience?

We would love to have you:

• Assist as a Reading Buddy on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:00- 5:00 p.m. during the school year
• Help with neighborhood clean up
• Provide snacks for Read Around the Block students 
  • juice boxes
  • microwave popcorn 
  • fruit snacks
  • Apples
  • small bottled waters
  • individual bags of cheese its or similar
• Bring a group to serve the neighborhood or accomplish a community activity

Join HHM as we pray for this ministry and as we seek to listen and move into the work in Montgomery.

Each year Hope House Montgomery seeks young persons interested in practicing the art of being a good neighbor.  This would include living at Hope House Montgomery for at least one semester or one academic year under the direction of the House Director as we all seek to serve and learn from the neighborhood. 

Interns will receive a stipend and living quarters and will work with the House Director and other interns to initiate ways to practice being a good neighbor.  This may include current programs such as Read Around the Block, mentoring programs for girls and boys, or new programs created by our new interns.
