Our neighbors, Todd and Mila, came over for dinner a few weeks ago. We shared pizza and salad from one of our favorite restaurants, Midtown Pizza. Good to get to know them better. They are gardeners growing some vegetables and all kinds of flowers and greenery. Just yesterday, my Ring front doorbell camera told me someone was at the front door, and to my surprise, Todd was bringing eggplant and celery they had a surplus of.
I hope to be making eggplant parmesan soon :-)
As we gather and eat around our table each week, we talk about impact and brainstorm ideas for outreach and ways we can grow as Christ-followers. Recently, we decided having a t-shirt that we could wear around the neighborhood would be a “cool” thing to wear.
So with a quote that we felt embodies our mission and the stressful process of picking a color everyone could agree on, we finally ordered a few shirts. It was cheaper to buy more than five, so we did. We gave a few away to the Hunter Hills Youth since they helped us with our last trash pickup.
We still have a few left. We would love to have our friends and family wear them and be reminded of the significant work of being a good neighbor. We have mediums, larges, extra-large, and double extra larges. If you are interested in a t-shirt, please let us know by making a donation on our website and make sure you put “your desired size t-shirt” in the comment section.
Make a great week!
