She focuses on connecting organizations with the people they aim to support.
Before joining exploreMedia in 2020, Angie spent over ten years as Executive Director of the Central and South Alabama chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She led fundraising, community engagement, and mission outreach across the region. Earlier, she worked in media sales at Bluewater Broadcasting, where she discovered her passion for helping businesses grow through storytelling and marketing. Throughout her career, Angie has learned from women who challenged, encouraged, and believed in her. She still carries those lessons with her today. These relationships have shaped her leadership style and her belief that our greatest influence is on the people we serve.
Angie grew up in the Christian faith as the daughter of a longtime pastor. She sees her faith as the foundation of her life.
She is passionate about encouraging women to recognize and use the influence God has given them, whether at work, at home, in church, or in the community. Angie believes our main purpose is to love one another as Christ loves us. This can be as simple as giving a compliment or picking up trash in a parking lot. In 2019, American Mothers, Inc. named her Alabama Mother of the Year.
Angie and her husband, John, have been married for 29 years. They enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and finding unique items in antique shops.
